About the Seminars

The retirement seminar series is made up of three webinars, and attendees are encouraged to register for all three parts.

  • Planning for and Preserving Your Retirement Savings
Learn about techniques to better plan for your financial future. We will discuss reaching your financial goals, why you should save early and often, investment choices and holding steady in a stormy market.

  • Navigating Social Security and Medicare
This session explains how to maximize your Social Security benefit, when and how to claim Social Security, how to make more informed decisions about Medicare and tips to help reduce health care costs in retirement.

  • The University’s Retirement Plans
An overview of the retirement plans offered by the University. In addition, if your core retirement plan is either the DB Plan or Hybrid Plan, this seminar will help you review your personal estimate of your pension benefits, if you elect to calculate one through the online Pension Benefits Portal

While this series is not recorded, it is offered several times throughout the year. Employees within 10 years of retirement are sent email invitations to the seminars. Review the retirement planning checklist for additional resources or schedule a free consultation with a Fidelity retirement planning specialist.
